Ike did land.......
but didn't hurt us too bad. I talked to Cliff last night and he got more of Ike than we did and he lives close to St. Louis, Mo.! He said they had 6 inches of rain at his home where we had only 3 at ours. Isn't that strange? We had some winds but nothing like they had there. Again, God skirted this hurricane around us on the other side. Gustav was to the east of us and Ike was to the west of us. Isn't God good?

A man in our Sunday School class told us Sunday that his nephew in Texas-about 50 miles or so on the other side of the storm just got a few sprinkles. We got 7 to 8 inches, Ron talked to several guys at his work. some got as much as 12 inches and some only 2 o 3. We had some water in our basement, but Kevin and Cory had 2 or more inches on their basement floor. Other than that we fared pretty well. Glad you didn't have any further damage from this storm. When is hurricane season supposed to be over?? I hope that is all there are for the U S this year!
